We collect what you send us in an enquiry and what we need in order to run a project. This page sets out what that covers, why we hold it, and how to have it removed.

Fisher Mart Inc, 45 Carey Ave, Butler, NJ 07405, is responsible for the personal information described here. This policy covers fishermartinc.com and the information we handle while designing and building websites for clients.
We hold three kinds of information.
Your name, email address, phone number if you give one, the kind of work you need, and the project details you write. Phone is optional; everything else is what we need in order to reply.
Copy, images, logos, billing details, and, where a build requires it, credentials for your domain, hosting or content platform. We use those credentials only for the agreed work and remove them from our records at handover.
Standard server logs recorded when you load a page: IP address, browser and device type, the pages requested, and the time. We use them for security and for a rough count of visits.
We do not ask for government identifiers, health information or payment card numbers. You pay invoices through your own bank or through a payment processor that handles the card details itself.
To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal; to carry out and deliver the project; to invoice and keep the accounting records the law requires; to keep the site secure; and to reply to you afterwards about work we have done.
We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not send marketing email to people who have only made an enquiry. If we ever start a newsletter it will be opt-in, and leaving it will take one click.
This site sets no advertising or tracking cookies and carries no third-party ad pixels. Where we use analytics, we choose a service that does not track visitors across sites and that reports page views in aggregate. We honour your browser's do-not-track setting.
We share it only with the service providers we need in order to run the business: our web host, our email provider, the form delivery service, our accounting software, and at times a trusted contractor working on part of a build under a confidentiality agreement. Each of them sees only what their task requires.
We disclose information otherwise only when the law requires it, or when it is necessary to establish or defend a legal claim.
When we build a site for a client, the client owns and controls the data their site collects; we act on their instructions. Their own privacy policy covers that data. When a client asks us to configure forms, analytics or a cookie notice, we set them up to collect the minimum needed and to state what they collect.
Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 12 months. Project files and correspondence are kept for three years after the last piece of work, so we can support a site we built. Invoices and accounting records are kept for seven years, as tax rules require. Server logs are kept for 90 days.
The site is served over HTTPS. Accounts that hold client information use strong, unique passwords with two-factor authentication where it is available, credentials are held in an encrypted password manager rather than in email, and access is limited to the people working on your project. No system is secure against every attack. If a breach ever affected your information, we would tell you within a few days and set out what we were doing about it.
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You may also ask us to stop contacting you. Email the address below and we will respond within 30 days; we will not charge you for it and will not treat you differently for asking.
We must keep some records, invoices among them, for the periods above even after a deletion request. Where that applies, we will say which records we are keeping and why.
We sell our services to businesses and to adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 16. If you believe a child has sent us information, write to us and we will remove it.
If our practices change, we will update this page and the date at the top. Material changes affecting information we already hold will be sent to the clients concerned by email.
Write to us with any privacy question, or to make a request under section 9.
